Texas Tech University Womble Football Center
and South End Zone
DeVinci Precast played a key role in the Texas Tech Womble Football Center and South End Zone project, part of the university’s $200 million stadium renovation. Our team supplied a full range of architectural precast and GFRC elements, including wall panels, wall caps, balustrade assemblies, structural arches, window surrounds, medallions, and pediments. These components were carefully engineered and shop-cast to meet the demanding design requirements while allowing for rapid on-site installation.
The combination of intricate design and durable materials allowed for a seamless integration between the South End Zone and the adjoining Womble Football Center, connected by an elevated sky-bridge. The completed renovation was finished in just 21 months, bringing Texas Tech’s updated stadium online in time for the 2024 season.
Texas Tech University
Dustin R. Womble Basketball Center
DeVinci provided a vast range of architectural elements for the Womble Basketball Center, ensuring top-tier quality and design. Our team supplied intricate cast stone features, including 11,000-pound scrolled acroteria, 3D-modeled balconette sills, pendants, medallions, and a striking 33-foot arched entryway.
With over 9,000 cubic feet of precast and GFRC products delivered, our innovative shop-casting process allowed masons to install arches at an impressive rate of one per hour. From Oklahoma to Texas, this project showcased our dedication to craftsmanship and efficiency.
University Of Oklahoma
Gaylord Family Memorial Stadium
DeVinci proudly continued its longstanding partnership with the University of Oklahoma by supplying all cast stone elements for the stadium renovation in 2016. The project commenced with the casting of a monumental oriel window bowl for the new Coach’s Office, produced in three pieces, each weighing 21,000 pounds. This effort transitioned into the creation of an extensive array of segmented gothic arches for the entryway and the 360-degree concourse.
Texas Christian University
Amon G. Carter Stadium
Our contributions included 40-foot-long finned GFRC parapet panels wrapping the field-side cantilevered roof in an Art Deco design, intricate frieze work, scalloped vertical paneling, and a balconied entryway. A standout feature is the pair of 20-foot-tall bas-relief sculptures honoring TCU’s football legacy, framed by towering 120-foot columns.
Crafted from lightweight, durable GFRC and engineered in Oklahoma, this project exemplifies our commitment to innovation and excellence.
